The Speegle family envisioned a modern backyard retreat that blended relaxation with family fun. Their project features a sleek geometric pool with an elevated spa, where water gently spills into the main pool to create a soothing, resort-like atmosphere.
The spa design is one of the highlights of this project. Finished with a flat stone spillway, it allows water to flow seamlessly into the pool, enhancing both beauty and tranquility. Bubbling jets add a touch of luxury, making it the perfect relaxation spot. Surrounding the pool and spa, the coping was carefully selected for its warm, natural tones-a mix of beige, cream, and light brown. Its textured, slightly rustic vertical faces on the spa wall and pool edges add depth and contrast against the water, while providing a comfortable surface for seating and lounging.
To further elevate the design, the blue mosaic accent tile was installed along the pool steps, combining safety with style. The mix of light, medium, and dark blues creates a striking contrast against the StoneScapes Tahoe Blue plaster, catching the sunlight and making the water shimmer with dynamic, vibrant tones.
A shallow tanning ledge and spray deck complete the backyard, offering a perfect place for sunbathing, family play, or simply cooling off on a warm day. The final result is a cohesive, modern backyard oasis that balances elegance, comfort, and functionality.
